Take all the ingredients above and mix them together in a glass bowl using a wooden or plastic spoon. Keep stirring until the contents look like grey wet mud. If you find that your mixture is too watery, add more clay.
Start applying the clay mixture to your scalp and work your way down the shaft of the hair. If you have any left over you can us the remaining mixture as a facial mask. Leave on for10 minutes and rinse off face and hair simultaneously. Do not allow the clay mixture to get hard while it is in your hair. If you notice small bits of clay left in your hair add a dab of olive oil to the cups water. The apple cider vinegar helps reset your hair’s pH balance and gives great shine.
Mix bentonite clay, Rosemary essential oil, aloe vera gel and 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar together and work into hair. Put on a shower cap and allow to sit for 20-30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Rinse with 1 cup vinegar and allow to sit for 1-3 minutes, then shampoo. Follow with shine boost rinse or detox hair soak
Brew the herbal tea and let cool slightly, make sure all herbs are strained out. Pour tea and apple cider vinegar in a blender, food processor or non-metal bowl. Start adding clay a tablespoon at a time while whisking to incorporate it. Keep adding clay until mixture is smooth and about the consistency of yogurt. Add essential oils if using and mix in. Store in an air-tight container in the shower for up to a week. To Use: Wet hair. Starting at roots, massage a handful of the clay mixture into hair and work down to the roots. Repeat until all hair is coated. Leave 5 minutes or up to 20 minutes (do not let dry!) and rinse out with warm water. optional: Rinse with a cup of herbal tea with 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar added.
Do not use metal utensils or bowls to aid in mixing bentonite clay, as contact will reduce the therapeutic effects of the clay. This is due to the chemical reaction of the metal interacting with the clay.
